Eric Ashley is the founding and lead pastor of BridgePoint Church in Gloucester, Virginia. Eric grew up in the small town of Honea Path, South Carolina–which helps to explain his southern accent and love for sweet tea and cheese grits. From the early age of 15, Eric realized that God desired for him to dedicate his life to serving the local church. So, with a singular vision, Eric completed his B.A. in Christian Studies at North Greenville University and a Master of Divinity at Erskine Theological Seminary. After serving in a number of ministry positions, Eric responded to God’s call to begin a vibrant, life-changing new church in Gloucester, Virginia. The vision for the new church began to take form in the summer of 2010 as Eric, his family, and another couple left everything behind in South Carolina in order to move to Gloucester to begin BridgePoint Church.
Eric is passionate about helping people to find new life through a relationship with Jesus Christ. He is a gifted communicator who seeks to teach God’s Word with a blend of boldness, humor, and down-to-earth accessibility.
Eric, his wife Amy, and their three daughters, Alora, Adalynne, and Ann-Marie, live in Gloucester, Virginia.
